The National Popular Vote bill would guarantee the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in all 50 states and DC.
As of 2020, the National Popular Vote bill has been enacted into law by 16 states with 196 electoral votes, including Massachusetts. The bill will take effect when identical laws are enacted by states possessing 74 more electoral votes. Because opponents continually try to get states such as Massachusetts to repeal their existing law, please tell your state legislators to continue to their support of the National Popular Vote law in Massachusetts.
